Art is one of the few universal bonds across the world. Like photography, it should capture truth and thus must capture beauty and ugliness, character and imperfection. I appreciate the surreal and the abstract but I generally prefer to draw realistically. These drawings demonstrate my attempts to capture character in a face or in the eyes of a subject.
